I personally disagree, if we did not accept or at least acknowledge change then we would be stuck doing the same thing the same way and nothing will ever change because your stuck in your stubborn ways.

Example of what I mean, lets say you lived in the same house for 12 years, so those 12 years of your life you've built a mental process on how to clean it, you do the dishes by hand because their is no dishwasher you sweep instead of vacuum due to hard wood floors, then one day you start the process of moving into a new home. As you get settled in you realize you gotta change the process in which you clean, your new house has a dishwasher so no need to do by hand, it has carpet so no need to sweep.

if you do not change then you will be sweeping your carpet and washing the dishes by hand.

So change is good and usually made for the better if you accept it.
